GEOMET® 500 is a self-lubricated base coat, which allows to obtain a stable and controlled coefficient of friction between 0.12 and 0.18. This is a simplified solution compared to the use of the “base coat + top coat” system.
GEOMET® 500 alone or in combination with NOF METAL COATINGS EUROPE’s range of finishes passes the most stringent cyclic corrosion tests. It protects parts from rust even after mechanical damage, such as stone chipping, thanks to its self-healing property. It also guarantees bimetallic compatibility with aluminium alloys. Its nominal thickness can be adjusted (from 6 to 15 μm and from 1 to 3 layers depending on the type of application process) to meet the expected performance.
